Baptist Paranormal Belief

Baptist Paranormal Belief although based on Christian paranormal belief has a wider and more diverse acceptance just as the Baptist church allows for much more diversified acceptance of religious principles.

In the Christian bible as a part of christian paranormal belief it is stated, that is forbidden that believers attempt contact with malevolent spirits that pretend to be spirits of the dead, as stated in Deuteronomy 18:11 and that the dead should not have contact with the living as stated in Luke 16:19-31.

Baptist Paranormal Belief it is believed that this contact results in contact with spirits that are not of the dead but malevolent spirits which are deceitful and pretending to be such and as such are commanded by Satan and are named as demons, evil spirits and unclean spirits.

It is believed that these spirits are familiar with the recent dead and is the reason why they have knowledge with intimate name details, places, situations and circumstances. In the bible this is referred to as a familiar spirit, Isaiah 29:4.

Baptist Paranormal Belief it is believed by Christians that the plan of demon spirits to become interested in all that they do especially the wonders they seem to b e able to perform and thus affect people and move them away from their relationship with God.

Often those interested in the paranormal including ghosts and end up experimenting with other activities such as Ouija boards, tarot cards, astrology, fortune telling etc. The search for spirituality often results in delving deeper into the occult which results in an ever increasing downward slope into the occult.

As stated in the bible it is believed that Satan will have then "blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God." (2 Cor. 4:4).

Christians believe in God and in the Devil and believe that God is stronger than the Devil

God created everything that is perfect, and anything that Satan created is not perfect. It is quite clear then that sin itself would have been created by Satan, and not God, it is also then quite clear that God can do anything-God is perfection. God is love.

Satan is not.

A member of the Baptist Religion may be described as a Christian who believes in a theology and belongs to a church that holds to adult baptism (as opposed to infant baptism). Baptist can include a local church, denomination or other group of individuals.

Baptist churches are autonomous and hold a wide variety of beliefs and practices and choose to associate with groups that provide support without control.

There are two main associations, are the Baptist World alliance and the Southern Baptist Convention.

The word Baptist is a derivative of a Greek word and is defined as “to baptize, wash, dip, immerse” and is in direct correlation to John the Baptist. The word Baptist was adopted in England as early as 1569.

There are more than 220,000 congregations worldwide and have over 110 million adherents. In fact one in five Christians in the United States claim to be a Baptist.

Baptists believe that baptism is a symbolic display of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. When a person who has been saved and confessed his belief in Jesus submits to baptism, that person is publicly identifying with Christ, is burying past sinful thought and action, and resurrection in the newness of life, to walk with Christ the remainder of their days.

Baptists for the most part share orthodox Christian beliefs and they believe in the literal Second Coming of Christ at which time God will judge humanity and divide humanity between the saved and the lost.
