Church in Wales Paranormal Belief

The Church in Wales Paranormal Belief is based on Calvinist paranormal belief and appears to be of two opinions and believers are free to adhere to either one.

The church is comprised by a group of Christians who formed the Presbyterian Church of Wales and claim to be the only Presbyterian denomination in Wales which is of pure Welsh origin.

Some followers believe that the paranormal does not deal with the real world and has no effect on what happens in the real world. Therefore they are of no value, tend to change often and should not be adhered to as if they do exist are probably harmful.

Some follow the traditional Christian Paranormal Belief where it is stated, that is forbidden that believers attempt contact with malevolent spirits that pretend to be spirits of the dead, as stated in Deuteronomy 18:11 and that the dead should not have contact with the living as stated in Luke 16:19-31.

Church in Wales Paranormal belief is this contact results in contact with spirits that are not of the dead but malevolent spirits which are deceitful and pretending to be such and as such are commanded by Satan and are named as demons, evil spirits and unclean spirits.

It is believed that these spirits are familiar with the recent dead and is the reason why they have knowledge with intimate name details, places, situations and circumstances. In the bible this is referred to as a familiar spirit, Isaiah 29:4.

It is believed by Christians that the plan of demon spirits to become interested in all that they do especially the wonders they seem to b e able to perform and thus affect people and move them away from their relationship with God.

Often those interested in the paranormal including ghosts and end up experimenting with other activities such as Ouija boards, tarot cards, astrology, fortune telling etc. The search for spirituality often results in delving deeper into the occult which results in an ever increasing downward slope into the occult.

As stated in the bible it is believed that Satan will have then "blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God." (2 Cor. 4:4).

Christians believe in God and in the Devil and believe that God is stronger than the Devil

God created everything that is perfect, and anything that Satan created is not perfect. It is quite clear then that sin itself would have been created by Satan, and not God, it is also then quite clear that God can do anything-God is perfection. God is love.

Satan is not.

The Church in Wales is a member of the Anglican Communion of religions and consists of six dioceses in Wales. There are approximately 75,000 members of the Church and the existing Primate is Barry Morgan.

The church recognizes the English Archbishop of Canterbury but he does not have any authority in Wales. There are in fact six diocesan bishops who hold authority.

The name happened by circumstance as The Welsh Church Act of 1914 referred to the Church in Wales, which indicated it was part of the Church of England in Welsh territory. It was simply a legality.

In the 19th century nonconformist churches grew rapidly in Wales although the Church of England was the dominant religion. In 1911 a parliamentary bill was passed to separate the Anglican Church from the Church of England.

Unlike bishops in the Church of England, each bishop of the Church is elected by an electoral college. A Representative Body is responsible for the care of the Church’s property and finances including priests stipends and pensions.
