Evangelical Paranormal Belief
Evangelical Paranormal Belief does not support a belief in the paranormal but however individual members have their own beliefs and this is often as stated in the Christian bible. In the Christian bible as a part of christian paranormal belief it is stated, that is forbidden that believers attempt contact with malevolent spirits that pretend to be spirits of the dead, as stated in Deuteronomy 18:11 and that the dead should not have contact with the living as stated in Luke 16:19-31. Evangelical paranormal belief is this contact results in contact with spirits that are not of the dead but malevolent spirits which are deceitful and pretending to be such and as such are commanded by Satan and are named as demons, evil spirits and unclean spirits. Evangelical paranormal belief is these spirits are familiar with the recent dead and is the reason why they have knowledge with intimate name details, places, situations and circumstances. In the bible this is referred to as a familiar spirit, Isaiah 29:4. It is believed by Christians that the plan of demon spirits to become interested in all that they do especially the wonders they seem to b e able to perform and thus affect people and move them away from their relationship with God. Often those interested in the paranormal including ghosts and end up experimenting with other activities such as Ouija boards, tarot cards, astrology, fortune telling etc. The search for spirituality often results in delving deeper into the occult which results in an ever increasing downward slope into the occult. As stated in the bible it is believed that Satan will have then "blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God." (2 Cor. 4:4). Christians believe in God and in the Devil and believe that God is stronger than the Devil. Christians believe in the rite of exorcism to rid those possessed by evil spirits of said evil spirits This rite must be performed by an ordained priest who is specially trained for this purpose. God created everything that is perfect, and anything that Satan created is not perfect. It is quite clear then that sin itself would have been created by Satan, and not God, it is also then quite clear that God can do anything-God is perfection. God is love. Satan is not. The Evangelical Religion is a Protestant Christian faith that originated in Great Britain in 1730 and its main belief is that of being born again. The adherents believe in the authority of the bible and the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Mr David Bebbington has termed the four main aspects as conversion, activism, Biblicism and crucicentrism and these form the basis of the Evangelical Movement. The term evangelical is a derivative of the Greek word for gospel or good news. Religious reform movements between 1730 and 1790 such as Puritanism, Pietism, and Methodism were fueled by dissatisfaction with the established church in England and mark the start of modern evangelicalism. In the United States, Jonathan Edwards and George Whitefield, were considered early leaders in evangelicalism. Evangelical" is not synonymous with "fundamentalist Christianity", although the latter is sometimes regarded as the most theologically conservative subset of the former. The major differences largely hinge upon views of how to regard and approach scripture, as well as its worldview implications. Evangelicals are often concerned with their own failure to live up to Christian standards in comparison to the world. Worldwide, evangelical churches together with Pentecostals claim to be the most rapidly growing Christian churches. The World Evangelical Alliance is "a network of churches in 127 nations that have each forming an alliance and over 100 international organizations encompassing more than 420 million evangelical Christians. The Alliance (WEA) was formed in 1951 by evangelicals from 21 countries. It has worked to support its members to work together globally. Evangelical Paranormal Belief Religious Paranormal Belief
