Jeungism Paranormal Belief is based on both a Shamist and Tao paranormal belief. Itakes the position that ghosts and gods do in fact exist but we should keep away from them unless they are your ancestors. A ghost may take a variety of forms and are dependent on the method a person died and are very often harmful. The Tao religion as is the Chinese is based on ancestor worship and was influenced by Buddhist beliefs. Jeungism Paranormal belief is that you may contact the spirits of your ancestors using a medium and these ancestorial spirits can help their descendants if they are shown the proper respect and are suitably rewarded. “The annual ghost festival is celebrated by Chinese around the world. On this day ghosts and spirits, including those of the deceased ancestors, come out from the lower realm. Ghosts are described in classical Chinese texts, and continue to be depicted in modern literature and movies.” The Tao religion known as Taoism and Daoism is a Far Eastern religion, that originated sometime between 200 BC and 220 AD in China during the Han Dynasty. It actually is comprised of a variety of religious and philosophical traditions. The actual originator is unknown but Lao Zi defined the fundamentals of Taoism in 6 BC. The Jeungism Religion also known as Jeung Sando originated in Korea in the 19th century and preached a message known as millenarianism and of meditative healing. The central text was published in 1922 and outlines the Renewal of Heaven and Earth the theory of Jeungic teaching which is the way of nature. It is based on the teachings of Gang Il-Sun who is believed by adherents as being the incarnation and personification of Sangjenim the governing spirit of the universe. The faith has its beginnings in the ancient beliefs of Korean shamanism and Chinese Taoism. According to Jeungistic teachings, humanity lives in a pivotal age. Throughout history, humankind has existed in conflict. For the most part, people achieved their goals at the expense of others. Strife has been a natural mode of growth, but this is all about to change.
