Many believe that the Jewish Paranormal Belief is accepting or tolerant of the belief in the paranormal and does not consider it devil worship. Other Jews state they do not believe in the paranormal but admit there is both a mystical and rational state.

It is reported in ancient texts that Moses and Abraham were noted mediums however many believe they were kabbalists not mediums.

It is believed by many that a kabbalist who studies the Torah may have access to that which is above and is gifted to you nature after much study and development of righteousness.

The Chassidim Jews do look at the world with a mystical view and so with that train of thought mysticism may be the paranormal and therefore Judaism is not a stranger to paranormal phenomenon.

Another school of thought within Judaism is that there are many and different types of spiritual forces in existence that result in paranormal experiences that are generally meaningless and should not be heeded. However they should be believed if they strengthen the belief in the Torah and should be ignored if they don’t adhere to the message as given in the Torah.

In today’s Judaism, central authority is not centered in any single person, but rather in sacred texts, religious law and learned scholars (rabbis), who interpret those text and laws. As there are many interpreting Jewish text there are varying views of the paranormal
