Parsi Paranormal Belief
Parsi Paranormal Belief based on the fact that the religion originated from the Indian Hindu paranormal belief. They accept the existence of ghosts and spirits as these are considered to be poor souls who because of some previous curse or terrible sin such as suicide are suspended in the between what is considered the higher worlds and earth. It is considered that “good spirits” are simply awaiting the completion of their punishment and will be released from this dimension while “evil spirits” will continue to be punished. If one is good they are reincarnated to a higher order and if one is bad they are reincarnated to a lower order. These evil spirits are believed to inhabit desolate places, empty buildings, ancient ruins, branches of tress and especially in grave yards. Parsi paranormal belief is that evil spirits seek and bother people of impure minds and unclean habits. Parsi paranormal belief is good spirits are to be found near places where religious ceremonies are performed or religious discourses given. They do not cause harm and may help as required. There are tantric practices that speak to the possibility of the transfer of a Jiva’s vital energy into a dead body in order to temporarily revive it for certain rituals. It is also believed that a suspended soul may be taken control of to perform magic to cause harm to others. It is also possible to drive away those possessed with these evil spirits by using magic and rituals. The ancient text known as The Yajurveda contains hymns to exorcise evil spirits as well as to seek protection against evil spells. The Parsi religion does not have a unified system of belief encoded in a declaration of faith or a creed. A Hindu believes in many Gods not just one God. The Parsi Religion or Parsee is a denomination of two Zoroastrian communities of the Indian subcontinent. The Parsi originally emigrated from Persia but today the Indian sect do not share language or history with them. The term Parsi was used in the 13th century in European text, however Indian text does not use the term until the 17th century, before that time Zoroastrian or Behdin was used. It is stated that there are approximately 100,000 active Parsi today. Other countries such as Britain, USA, Canada, Australia, Pakistan, Hong Kong and Kenya have small Parsi populations mostly as a result of immigration. It is reported that the Parsi Religion is in decline today. The Parsi community maintain a rather peculiar standing: they are Indians in terms of national affiliation, language and history, but not typically Indian in culture, behaviour and religious practices. According to tradition, the present-day Parsis descend from a group of Iranian Zoroastrians who emigrated to Western India over 1,000 years ago. The long presence in the region distinguishes the Parsis from the Iranis, who are more recent arrivals, and who represent the smaller of the two Indian-Zoroastrian communities. The definition of a Parsi is a matter of great contention within the Zoroastrian community in India. Generally accepted to be a Parsi is a person who is a directly descended from the original Persian refugees; and has been formally admitted into the Zoroastrian religion. Religious Paranormal Belief
