United Church of Christ Paranormal Belief

United Church of Christ Paranormal Belief is based on Christian paranormal belief where it is stated, that is forbidden that believers attempt contact with malevolent spirits that pretend to be spirits of the dead, as stated in Deuteronomy 18:11 and that the dead should not have contact with the living as stated in Luke 16:19-31.

United Church of Christ paranormal belief is this contact results in contact with spirits that are not of the dead but malevolent spirits which are deceitful and pretending to be such and as such are commanded by Satan and are named as demons, evil spirits and unclean spirits.

United Church of Christ paranormal belief is these spirits are familiar with the recent dead and is the reason why they have knowledge with intimate name details, places, situations and circumstances. In the bible this is referred to as a familiar spirit, Isaiah 29:4.

United Church of Christ paranormal belief is the plan of demon spirits to become interested in all that they do especially the wonders they seem to b e able to perform and thus affect people and move them away from their relationship with God.

Often those interested in the paranormal including ghosts and end up experimenting with other activities such as Ouija boards, tarot cards, astrology, fortune telling etc. The search for spirituality often results in delving deeper into the occult which results in an ever increasing downward slope into the occult.

As stated in the bible it is believed that Satan will have then "blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God." (2 Cor. 4:4).

Christians believe in God and in the Devil and believe that God is stronger than the Devil.

Christians believe in the rite of exorcism to rid those possessed by evil spirits of said evil spirits This rite must be performed by an ordained priest who is specially trained for this purpose.

God created everything that is perfect, and anything that Satan created is not perfect. It is quite clear then that sin itself would have been created by Satan, and not God, it is also then quite clear that God can do anything-God is perfection. God is love.

Satan is not.

The United Church of Christ which for the most part is a Protestant Christian Church within the Reformed tradition. It originated in 1957 when the Evangelical and Reformed Church and the Congregational Christian Churches merged.

It is reported that there are approximately 1.1 million adherents in 5300 local congregations.

The church have historically favored progressive or liberal views on civil rights, gay rights, womens rights, abortion, and other social issues. However, congregations have freedom in matters of doctrine and ministry, and may or may not support the national body's theological or moral stances.

The church may be described as: "Christian, Reformed, Congregational and Evangelical." The church's diversity and adherence to congregational self government give individual congregations a great deal of freedom in the areas of worship, congregational life, and doctrine.

Local churches have complete control of their finances, hiring and firing of clergy and other staff, and theological and political stands.

The church acknowledges as its sole Head, Jesus Christ, Son of God and Savior.
